Step By Step Wheat Cultivation Process In India With Variety

With the growing population, the world’s food demand also adds fleetly. And what is an important food crop that plays a pivotal part in meeting the world food demand? Wheat Cultivation has become important to feed the world, but China tops the list, followed by India and the US when it comes to products.

The biological Name of Wheat is Triticum aestivum, and it belongs to the family rubric Triticum and the Poaceae. Grain is a portion of healthy and wholesome food. Unfortunately, numerous people grow only limited stock to meet their daily food demand. 

Wheat is a stylish cereal grain containing more advanced protein than sludge and rice. Also, it’s believed to be the contemporary chief food in the moment’s world.   1. Choose a Suitable Position

  1. Weather Conditions 

Wheat shops can be grown and planted in a wide range of agro-climatic conditions.  It is easy to grow in tropical, subtropical, and temperate zones. The most suitable climate for wheat husbandry is wettish and cool rainfall. The shops can fluently survive in temperature between3.5 °C and 35 °C, but the stylish temperature for wheat farming is in the middle of 21 °C and 26 °C.

Wheat seeds are fluently available in the request. While cropping the sources, make sure it’s of good quality, high yielding, and complaint-free. Generally, 40 to 50 kg seeds are needed in one acre of land. However, the exact seeds necessary depends on the variety and sowing system.  


You must sow the wheat seeds inside the soil about 4 to 5 cm. Always put the roots in rows and maintain a 20-22.5 cm distance between the rows. Planting or sowing the seeds at the right time is crucial as delayed sowing can beget a gradational decline in a product. In India, it’s generally buried at the end of October and early November.

The wheat shops are relatively inflexible and robust. However, they generally do well in favorable climate conditions and are careless. And if you take some redundant care, it’ll be good and ensure maximum productivity. 

Fertilization – you don’t need to add different diseases if you had preliminarily added them while preparing the soil. 

Watering – excellent and proper irrigation is needed for wheat farming. First irrigation starts after 20 to 25 days after planting the seeds. Also, a new 4 to 5 irrigation after every 20 days.  

It is easy to remove weeds while preparing the soil. Hence make sure you remove the weeds duly. You can use a wide range of chemicals available in the request for fresh weeding. 

  1. Pest and Complaint Control 

The wheat shops are susceptible to numerous pests and conditions like aphids and termites. In comparison, some of the common diseases in wheat shops are brown rust, fine mildew, Flag soil, etc. Therefore, you can use suitable quality fungicides or germicides to control pests or requirements.

  1. Harvesting 

Harvesting starts when the stem and leaves turn unheroic in color and come reasonably dry. Remember that you must gather the Wheat before it’s over-ripened to avoid loss. Therefore, timely harvesting is necessary for better quality and total wheat products. When the humidity content in the Wheat reaches about 25-30, then the grain is ready for gathering.
